Applicants are sought for experienced and qualified Teaching Assistants to support our Junior School in a casual relief capacity for Semester 2, 2024.

Casual Relief

Teacher Aides provide teachers and students with a high level of classroom assistance and support across the Junior School (Prep-Year 6). There is also opportunity to assist with Vacation Care in September and December school holiday periods in our Outside School Hours Care.

The successful applicants must hold a Paid Blue Card and be willing to have their name submitted to the Anglican Church’s Professional Standards Register and be able to support the Anglican ethos of St Hilda’s School.

The successful candidate must possess the following requirements:

• Relevant qualifications such as a Diploma of Education Support, Certificate III or IV in Education Support
• Demonstrate an understanding of the educational, social and emotional needs of children, including those with learning needs
• Experience working with children who possess different abilities, pace of learning and learning styles
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents
• Capable of working in any year level in a variety of situations
• Be willing to take on professional development and attend team meetings as required
